No off-leash dog area at Austin’s Emma Long

A proposal to temporarily turn part of Austin’s Emma Long Park into an off-leash dog area has been voted down.
City staffers suggested at the parks board meeting Tuesday night that part of Emma Long Metropolitan Park be turned into a temporary off-leash dog area, but parks board members didn’t like the idea.

Last night I was the guest speaker at Dogadillo Yappy Hour. Dogadillo is an upscale dog boutique here in Austin. Every month they have a Yappy Hour for dogs and their people to socialize. They serve drinks and snacks for the humans and yummy dog treats for all the four-leggeds.
