has recalled some of their dry dog food due to mold.
The following batches of Wysong Canine Diets Maintenance™ and Senior™ have shown above acceptable moisture levels and may contain mold.

I was told the notice was sent to distributors about a week ago. Information about the recall was just posted to their website yesterday.

A week?! “Inconvenience”?!
Sheesh.
I hope the person from last week (Julie) contacted the FDA…or asks here what to do…this is so wrong to not come out with a public announcement until yesterday (and to know to look for it as it is hidden so well)…when will the PFC’s realize they need to come clean ASAP to have anyone think they even care about our 4 legged family members!!! I remember being so outraged not only when my kitties ate the melamine laced food in 2007 but then to find out that one of them (youngest) could have been spared if the news about the food possibly killing cats had come out when Menu first had the problem—and also to know I was continuing to try to feed the poison for days not only to sick cats but my then pup Harry was “cleaning up the leftovers” and he was in the middle of chemo and radiation for an aggressive cancer. News must be released immediately as I know first hand it could save lives!
These pet food companies have no morals, IMO.
Clearly, the “brand” is more important than the lives of our pets.
So the last people to know about this from Wysong are petowners?! Distributors and stores first, petowners last? And thats even if most petowners even learn about this with a statement buried at Wysong’s site. Its so obvious to me by their actions, how little they care about our pets, the very beings they make their living and profits from.
