Last month
was the month to make new year's resolutions. And because
many of those resolutions involved getting and staying healthy,
this month's newsletter is dedicated keeping our pets healthy
and happy. We all want what's best for our pets and the info
we have for you this month should help in that endeavor.
The featured
article was inspired by an email I received from a man who
had contacted a pet sitter about caring for his pets. When
the pet sitter refused to visit them only once per day, the
man didn't understand. This story explains why so many pet
sitters require at least two visits per day for dogs when
their people are away.
Since
February is Pet Dental Health Month, we have some information
that may help you keep your cat or dog healthy and happy.
And for
those of you interested in pet first aid, you won't want to
miss our announcement about an upcoming Pet Tech Instructor
class!

In our February issue. . .
How
many pet sitting visits per day?
I
got an email a while back from a gentleman who was upset that
a pet sitter he interviewed refused to visit his pets (a dog
and 2 cats) only once per day. The pet sitter turned the job
down rather than care for the pets in a manner she felt was
not adequate.
All
of the man's pets (I'll call him Joe) live indoors and he
only wanted someone come to his home once a day, to let the
dog out and make sure all of the pets had food and water.
He was going to be gone for seven days.
