Austin, TX
- February 20, 2006 - Therese Kopiwoda, owner and founder of PetsitUSA.com,
joins 5-member team of professional pet sitters to plan upcoming
CSU Pet Sitters Conferences.
The conference
team is responsible for planning and managing the annual conference,
held each January and attended by professional pet sitters throughout
the country. Born out of an online discussion list, the first
conference took place in 1997, when members of the list planned
a get together to share experiences, discuss business practices,
and to put faces with names. Although the conference has evolved
over the years into a much larger event, it is still planned by
a volunteer team comprised of pet care professionals from different
areas of the country.
"I'm
quite honored to be a part of the team," Kopiwoda said. "When
I attended my first conference in 2004 I was highly impressed
with the quality of information available to the attendees. It
was apparent that the people putting the conference together had
a passion for the industry and were committed to creating an excellent
resource for small business owners. This dedication means that
attendees go away with valuable information to help grow their
businesses into more professional, viable endeavors. I'm extremely
pleased to be on the team that helps make this happen, and look
forward to working with them to make the 10th anniversary conference
the best one yet."
Other team
members include; Diana Langley, Pawprints In-Home Pet Sitting,
San Diego, CA; Sandy Hendrickson, Pampered Pet Services, Inc.,
Chicago, IL; Sharon Murphy, Big Dog and Miss Kitti's Pet Sitting
Services, Houston, TX; and Terri Randall, Creature Comforts In-Home
Pet Care, Sheridan, WY.
The conference
team is already hard at work planning the 10th anniversary conference,
which will be held in Las Vegas in January 2007. Tentatively scheduled
seminars include topics by well-known experts in the pet sitting
and pet care industry.
